Why are people so averse to training, outside of having to be on Virginia avenue and away from family? People keep talking about how they would bid XYZ, but don’t want to train so they don’t. Training isn’t hard and it isn’t painful. It is never in my calculus for career moves and I was surprised that it is for others. It’s a drop in the bucket.
I can see people having buyers remorse when I was 2 weeks into ER training, especially when doing 3 E period sims in a row. IQ IS kind of a grind that I can see a lot of people avoiding at all costs. But you’re right it’s like ripping a bandaid off. I’m SO glad I bid off the bus. ER trips are a thousand times better than the rest of the narrowbody fleet, and I like the plane a lot more.
