This isn't always the case, but, especially if the first falls on a weekend, there tends to be more of a chance to get JA'd during the overlap period due to trips pulled and lack of pilots willing or legal to do them.

Note of interest, the company has "temporarily" increased reserve lines to around 20 percent and also increased blank lines.
