Man if I were you I would call Monday and ask to be put in a class. You can’t possibly owe your current employer enough to delay nearly a year of seniority. We are in the middle of unprecedented hiring by UPS standard and there is no telling how long we will hire at this rate. The seniority you are giving up is worth potentially 100s of thousands of dollars. If I were you I would work out a payment plan with your current employer or do whatever you have to do to get in the first class.
If you don’t believe me maybe one of our furloughed guys can put it in prospective of what 109 seniority numbers means.
