So, hypothetically, let's say I'm flying my "own" airplane and I wanted to use this Bose/Uflymike combo but I also want to listen to some self help podcasts or maybe a few sweet Air Supply songs. The design of the QC35s is such that when the cord is plugged in (ie, in normal non-pilot use, plugged into a 3.5mm aux plug, like say an airplane seatback IFE system or a Walkman or something), it disables the Bluetooth. The idea is that if you’re piping in audio from the plug, there’s no sense in also having Bluetooth active and burning battery and pulling two audio sources at once. Well, that same plug is what the UFM adapter plugs into, so when it’s attached, the Bluetooth capes of the QC35s are disabled. The solution then is to use the aux cable input Jack on the controller box of the UFM to put a Bluetooth receiver into. So something like this

I haven’t done it yet, but I don’t think it is quite as seamless as say the A-20s where there’s auto muting and such for ATC comms. I bet if you reach out to them they can provide more specifics.
Another thing I’ve heard that works well is sticking an AirPod or two in under the QC35s.
