Nope. I actually did ask a chief about this once, he said his office has never gotten a call about it, but if they did, they wouldn't care unless they saw your name coming up time after time.
Keep in mind the mechanic on the phone in the NOC would actually have to go through the trouble of finding the previous flight number, then the crews' names, then find out where they're based, find out the chief pilot's numbers, then make a phone call about it. I don't see that happening pretty much ever.
