What I find much more offensive is when I show up on an am and there's a dead ostrich in an engine, the brake wear indicator pins are indented, or whatever other mechanical issue that would theoretically have been caught on a post flight. Not saying it's happened here obviously, but I've had many former lives in addition to my current life.

It takes two seconds to put the fluids in the logbook. I don't get a free pass for things I miss on my 4am walk around, why should somebody get a free pass on my certificate because they blocked in at 4am?
