AFW is the junior base. (Amazon ATR cargo flying). It is mostly all night flying, out and back. Meaning you are responsible for your own accommodation between work shifts unless you plan on moving there or already live there.
I'm at Silver. They need pilots at AFW, but they need them at TPA and FLL as well, they need them everywhere. In our class, everyone got the first base of their choosing. Sounds like they'll be coming out with a new contract very soon with added pay to try to
curb attrition and to attract pilots. There are issues here and there, but any airline you go to is going to have positives and negatives. It's a great company, really is.
