Vanguard and Blackrock only own ~15%. combined, so they won't be a huge factor. With that said, money in your hand now is always worth more than future dollars, especially in the airline industry. It's a no brainer for most investors to take the money and run, so I expect the JetBlue merger to win by a landslide.
