Field standby needs to go away. Assigning everyone to short call simply because they can needs to change. Needs to be more transparency about where minimum reserve numbers come from. That would be a start.
I’ve not been long at UAL, but I actually know a few people who left for other airlines because of the reserve rules.
field standby and converting to short call “just because” is worse than some regionals play it.
