I asked BA when he became chair that he put some thought into having an editor that felt free to change things in a fact based article written by someone else. There’s an integrity issue here. You were still the editor. If you stepped down it’s because you saw what was coming.
If you want to continue living in whatever alternative universe you want to live in by all means. If you think a Council Editor can unilaterally change things in an article without expanding the team more power to ya. If you thinking working for the person who hired you then leaving when they leave is strange more power to ya.
