There are two separate events. The company hosts everyone for dinner at the GO. Later the same evening the junior class hosts the new hires at their hotel.
They looked at bringing the dinners back to the museum. The museum has increased their price to the point it’s no longer cost effective.
That clears it up. At one point the company dinner and welcome party were one and the same, and both were sponsored by the company.
