Exactly. I live close enough to the airport that for the right amount of add pay, I’d be picking them up regularly. Commuters wouldn’t be hassled & the company maintains utilization. We avoid delays & cancellations which is good for everyone. Win, win, win.

Problem is not that it exists, but the incentive structure is all off. First 2 for free, plus you’re limited to how many you can pick up aggressively. Then if you end up flying you lose the add pay. Nobody is volunteering for that.
