For example, when hired by RAH, under the Delta Connection, I could be flying an a/c with USAir, CAL, or United markings...correct?

We will still retain all of the code shares. However, ideally all the aircraft types will be on the same certificate. Hopefully, this will eventually come to fruition. Basically, if you go from CHQ to Shuttle or Republic now you have to go through Indoc. training again because it's technically a different airline in the eyes of the Feds... even though we are all Republic Airways Holdings employees under the same seniority list and contract.

It's all basically a mess that was created initially by Delta's scope clause in their previous contract. As far as I understand it, it said that no non-wholly owned code share can operate both 50 AND 70+ seat aircraft. So, we created Republic. However, the Republic certificate took well over 2 years to complete. Just another paperwork nightmare. So in the interim, when we picked up the United and Delta 170 flying we acquired Shuttle America and their pilots and put the 170's on their already established certificate. As far as I'm concerned it's just a stupid formality that needs to go away and I'm sure that's how our management views it as well.

With regards to diversification, Bedford has done an excellent job with the company. It's almost like our own version of hedging. There are rumors of talks with the NWA as well.
