Why would any company want to extend the length of time their least productive and most expensive pilots (most leave/sick bank/highest salary) are around? Not to mention health care costs etc. Regionals while may see lower attrition due to potential slow/halt of hirings, the 1-2 years is really no help. So you’re saying we have no say as ALPA dues paying members, nor should we pulse the pilot populace of dues paying members industry wide?
FYI, someone wants this because political folks are stirring up legislation.
I generally don’t care either way but I do care that we are the ones who either want it or don’t. We are the union, we the pilots, not the company, not the government.
