You missed the average part and I absolutely think it’s around $280k. I have 4 working days on my schedule next month due to vacation. I’ll clear 200 TFP’s in June by working premium when I want and still have 15 days off. The facts are we’re short staffed and it’s a buyers market. When we’re fat on pilots, which is what the company wants, those numbers will go down.
And though it’s still not close to Alaska and the big 3, our upgrade went down to a little over 8 years in latest award. It’ll continue to go down.
Alaska’s upgrade time is going to start increasing significantly over this current bid and the ones that follow, as the Airbus pilots transition. The 4.5 year captains in Seattle, many of whom haven’t even been trained will lose their spots. I’d guess by the time it all shakes out junior captain will be 6-7 years.
