Yes, the chances are small. That is what makes him an outlier. I used to work for a billionaire who started with a $10,000 loan from his grandma, they do exist. Bezos and Buffet are other examples of billionaires who came from humble beginnings. Gates came from upper middle class parents and wealthy grandparents, so he would fit the narrative of starting with money.
I would argue that starting with minimal wealth amplifies the entrepreneurial spirit, whereas starting with wealth reduces the drive.
