The mythos of the old "King of Prussia" factory worker conditioning that morphed into the overpriced college promise of "a million dollars more over the course of a career" out of context statistic has brainwashed people into thinking they really need 13+ years of "college prep" for their children to succeed. The economics of it have reached crisis levels, the product has never been worse or less relevant (some exceptions remain) and the indoctrination aspect has vastly exceeded even its flimsy use case of "college prep."

The whole premise of all that nonsense anyway is supposedly to get into a "good college" but no one cares where anyone gets a Bachelor's Degree from except maybe a very few specific career paths. Paying outrageously inflated "good school" prices and taxes for over a decade to outsource the obsolete concept of "college prep" to mostly political brainwashing anyway is just silly. But if I was in real estate I'd be more than happy to get my 6% of that grift.
