If you’re waiting 70 minutes on hold, that’s on you. Honestly man, hang the F up, call a chief, send an email with your intentions, and do exactly that.

If you are unable to reach Crew Scheduling or Dispatch to address an operational issue, please file an ASAP report. Operational issues are things like timing out, verifying flight-time/duty-time limitations, calling out fatigued, discussing a reschedule, or adjusting duty times to reflect reality. Additionally, most flight-related topics a pilot would call Dispatch about are considered operational issues.
