Morristown is really nice. Has a small town feel and is pretty close to EWR. From what I've seen the rent prices are a lot more reasonable than in the city, but you'll even that out with a much longer drive to JFK. And depending on the time of day, traffic getting over the bridge can be murder. If you're going to live out there, always plan an extra hour (at least) on top of what Google maps says until you get the swing of things. Every then, traffic is unpredictable, and one wreck can really mess up your timing.
