Great attitude! Learning now while the markets may be a little slow will set you up nicely for when things get busy again. Based on a few layover and cockpit conversations it sounds like it is compatible with Delta and provides a good side income. It may be worth a look at the commercial lending side as well. Business owners and CRE investors don't require as much hand holding as home buyers, so the lack of immediate phone contact while working at Delta may be less of an issue.
