The point is until Indigo and Baldanza changed the company to a ULCC in the mid 2000’s, massive growth was never the focus. It’s like comparing McDonalds before Ray Croc to what it became after he changed the direction, it was happy to be a single store family run operation.

It’s not just about comparing a good growth period to a bad one, it’s a totally different company.
And that totally different company is totally different again... Both because it's much bigger, which means it can't grow fast, the business model is much further down the saturation path, and it's about to be sold... The reality you thought you had is no longer available to you, and it was a mirage anyway, as it wasn't going to be as successful going forward as you were led to believe...

It's nearly spilled milk at this point.
