I will answer to this reply, because I think it is the most pertinent. Yeah. I was/am wrong. You and the others are right. I did only look at the last 15 or so years, and I got lucky with the progression at NK, and would like to keep that. And like plenty of others have said: it's not like we are going to have a say in the matter, but that didn't stop me from shooting my mouth off. I will not be the one resenting other pilots if/when any of these mergers go through because I realize that whomever I fly with was in the same boat without a rudder.
