If we are acquired by JB then we get a bigger paycheck. On the captain side, JB makes about 30 bucks an hour more than we do to fly the same aircraft. We need a JCBA to move forward. JB pilots will be able to demand a pay rate higher than what they have now. Their current pay rates are in line with that of the current legacy pay rates on comparable aircraft. The legacies are all getting increased pay rates as we speak. Spirit pilots will theoretically see a
significant pay raise over what we see today. Compare that with what current pay rates are between NK and F9, the baseline starting negotiating rate is far below what is being offered by everyone else. As we have seen from our own management and management at F9, they have no goals of being competitive on pay, rather "competitive" with bases.
If JB is successful in acquiring us, I see us making significantly more money than we would otherwise, most if not all bases with the exception of ACY staying open, and I even expect JB to place another aircraft order within the next few years.
