The legacies are all getting increased pay rates as we speak. Spirit pilots will theoretically see a
significant pay raise over what we see today. Compare that with what current pay rates are between NK and F9, the baseline starting negotiating rate is far below what is being offered by everyone else. As we have seen from our own management and management at F9, they have no goals of being competitive on pay, rather "competitive" with bases.
If JB is successful in acquiring us, I see us making significantly more money than we would otherwise, most if not all bases with the exception of ACY staying open, and I even expect JB to place another aircraft order within the next few years.

yup jetblue will most likely convert every airbus order to A321neos (mint and HD) and LRs. And who knows when Airbus will announce the A220-500. Will replace A319s, old A320s and E190s, while keeping and retrofitting all the neos first. Don’t forget precovid, jetblue had 4 ex Thomas cook A321s ready to enter service due to demand and we’re just going to fly on the DR flights. Could see the same thing on the shorter FL - Caribbean flights until some of the Spirit aircraft are retrofitted.
Hayes has even said publicly that they need to pay pilots more to help with attrition as the legacies enter into new contacts.
