My last FA told me about that. Heck, I'd take that and go down to Mexico. I don't think that they are going to furlough anyone in the pilot group because they don't want the stigma to hurt their ability to attract pilots in the future, but if things get worse and others start to do it SKW may follow suit. If they are willing to cut FA's loose for long periods of time then it means that they really don't have anything on the back burner that they expect to pan out soon right? I sure hope that things get a little more stable economically and we can get the price of oil down to reasonable levels soon or we are all going to get jacked. I read that Delta can cut our flying back past contract minimum flying, they just have to pay SKW the difference between operating cost and their contract rate, but the company doesn't have to keep pilots on board that they can't use.
Bus Driver; The advice about taking the EMB 120 is good. If I had it to do over again I would take the 120 because it is more stable than the jet, and you will get a line much sooner. If you are looking to fly out of MKE or ORD then the jet is obviously your only choice. Where are you trying to get to?
