I dumped all my Delta stock about a decade ago and invested in oil. It was close to a long term put on DAL. I'll let the stock market experts and technical traders comment on the correlation between DAL and XOM. In general anything above a cursory investment in a company you work for, but don't control is too much skin in the game.
