Nevertheless, training contracts do not compare to buying a type rating. It is not at all hypocritical to be against training contracts and accepting a job at SWA and buying a 737 type rating.
Of course they don't since buying a type rating and having no time in the airplane is useless except for applying to SWA.

My point is new guys like the one starting this thread need to make sure they're doing all their homework, not just blindly following what some self-appointed Aviation Cop on here says someone MUST or MUST NOT do.

At the end of the day, I think we're both on the same page -- just maybe not saying it exactly the same -- so no worries here as far as I'm concerned.
