Oh, I absolutely agree with you that we have an ugly baby of a contract, and that historically, in some areas, the pilot body did shoot themselves in the foot. We're united now, and working on a fix, but we did argue amongst ourselves about that very fact.. on this very forum. Old news...

The Psy Ops is not about him mentioning our garbage contract, and who's to blame for it. The Psy Ops I'm referring to is the fact that Gear Boy with his double speak, is trying to make it sound like we are fighting for a lost cause, because according to him, given how pattern bargaining works, and given how far behind we are, the ask is just too much to get up to industry standard.
He also mentions time, and circumstances are not on our side. I call B/S on that. If this current climate is not the time to be snapped up to an on par, or close to on par contract, no other time will ever exist.
His pronouncements sounds to me like a management stooge trying to sow the seeds of doubt about what is achievable with the hope of getting some to believe it. That would go a long way in supporting that 50%+1 TA idea he's peddling.
