I think he's worried that the operation is gonna burn down over the summer, and decided to dangle a carrot to see if he'll get some of us to continue to lean forward. He knows we're all talking about United's AIP and now the money thrown at the WOs, and with the union constantly sending emails about managements insulting 4/3 offer, even the dudes that love the koolaid aren't happy with where we are in negotiations. He knows the majority of us will see through the BS, but we're a divided group and if he can soften up even a handful, it might mitigate some of the damage.
