What about 756 out of IAD? How long should a new hire expect to be in EWR on that fleet. I’ll be a east coast commuter, so the road to IAD in the short-term and IAH long term is ideal. SFO and LAX bases would be 2-leg commutes for me.
EWR is actually more senior to get a line compared to IAD, that being said basically every base except IAH/DEN/ORD are available to new hires, and even those 3 will not take more than a few bids to hold. IAD is now mostly Europe, so it will be a lot of IRO flying initially. If the West Coast 756 does not work, and you will have to fly to EWR/IAD - I would echo what everyone else is saying though and bid 737.
