They benefit with the line bidding we have now is that you have a chance of still getting a random trip that’s decent credit, even if you’re bottom of round 1, whereas all those would likely go very senior through PBS, so without seniority, you’ll be flying a bunch of 11-15 hour 4-day trips.
That’s what seniority is about. What the Union and pilots tout all the time: “seniority is everything!”

And who cares if your trips are low credit, you get min garuntee. 18 hours in CAK? Read a book. 30 hours in Flint? Work on your Master’s so you’re competitive next downturn. 22 hours in OAJ? train for a marathon, or eat anothoer doughnut.
