The bid group is split between ETOPS and non-ETOPS, which makes for some odd bidding situations that other bases don't have to deal with. From what I can tell as a non-ETOPS bidder, they have a lot more ETOPS pilots than they do Hawaii flying. It sounds like it goes pretty senior. If you want to fly ETOPS, you can get it awarded put of training. If you don't want it, you might still get forced into it depending on Crew Planning's forecasted needs.
