Default NYC7ER vs NYC756 for new hire commuter

Hey all,

Indoc rapidly approaching - looking for thoughts/corrections on the following pro/con lists:

Background:
Commuting from MCO.
17 years left to 65.
Would rather have fewer commutes per month and longer trips, vs multiple commutes and shorter trips.
Not bothered by red-eyes, crappy destinations - once on the clock, I'd rather maximize credit hours than have nice layovers.

NYC765 Pros:
Pay scale (Yr2 and beyond) - is it enough of a difference over 7ER, or can you eventually work 7ER trips to make up most of the difference?
Commutablility - seems like most 765 trips leave later in the day, and finish earlier in the day.

NYC765 Cons:
Seniority/reserve - seems like new hires will be on weekend reserve for 3+ years. Will it be even more years? How many reserve periods (ie. commutes) do you have to have per month?

NYC7ER Pros:
Seniority - ability to bid a better schedule sooner.
Layovers - possibility of MCO layovers.

NYC7ER Cons:
Commutability - looks like commuting will require arriving at NYC a day early and/or an overnight after a trip.
Legs - 3-leg days more common.

What am I missing on the pro/con list? What is overblown or outright inaccurate? Any opinions welcome, especially if you're a 1-2 yr MCO commuter on this equipment. But I'll take any info I can get.

TIA!
