NYC7ER Pros:
Relative seniority - can hold a line within 18-24 months.
Possible domestic layovers at home airport.
NYC7ER Cons:
Multi-leg days.
Non-commutable trips.
Less pay than 765.
NYC765 Pros:
Pay about 13% more.
Commutable start and end times.
NYC765 Cons:
Seniority - 3-5+ years of weekend reserve.
Seems like commuting to 765 as a new hire is pretty poor QOL for not that much more pay. Am i under/over estimating the reality of anything on this list?
TIA!
I do not think it will take 18-24 months to hold a line in NYC7ER. Maybe 6 months after OE as long as we keep hiring at this pace
some MCO layovers In NYC but I think more in ATL.
for the most part NYC 7ER trips are 1-2 legs a day. I’ve seen 3 and even 4 but most are 1-2
