IMO as someone who also has done a FL-NY commute, the ER would be my #1 choice.

yes schedule predictably and schedule flexibility are two big differences. Also days worked is usually lower as a lineholder. ( 17 days of reserve pays 72-80 hours, 17 days as a lineholder would pay a minimum 89:15)
