I kinda get where they are going. What’s considered a “boring” job? Is it a job that no one wants? Or a job that doesn’t excite you? Or a job that doesn’t excite others? I think any of those are highly variable- if you ask 1000 people you’ll get 1000 different answers. They really weren’t that clear in the video.

In my case, I’m an EMS helicopter mechanic. I hate it. COVID probably had a lot do do with my burnout in my situation, honestly. That being said, each time when I wear company shirts in the community, it seems like at least one person strikes up a conversation about how my job must be exciting. I guess from the outside it is, yet you can’t get much more boring than working on Bell products in the medical industry with mediocre pay. I’m trying to move to the flying side (fixed wing-out of EMS) not because flying jobs themselves excite me- it’s better pay, more professional respect and better benefits. So in my case is flying considered a “boring” job? Is Mx a “boring” job, because not many people want to get in to Mx?

Kind of interesting questions. Thanks for sharing that, it’s always good to do a little introspection.
