It kind of was for me... The company provided telex sounded fine but on-ear headsets REALLY hurt my ears after about an hour. I gave it my best shot but I couldn't take the torture and ordered my A20 around month 2. It's not just the telex, all on-ear headsets make my ears feel like they're on fire after an hour or so. Not an option, 100% priority for me.

I treated myself to a leather jacket after a year, and was disappointed because the jacket weighed about twice what my USAF leather jacket weighs. I'd probably wear a lighter version made by someone else but the perrone one was just too heavy. I wore it for a year and used my first month's year 3 payraise to buy a karbon 2.

Try on the jackets before buying, because the sizing may not be what you expect.

I'm one of the few who actually prefer the MH pants over the haggar. I've tried several versions of the haggar pants and in the end I prefer the MH fabric and cut. Yes they're a bit heavier but they work for me. Also, the tag says dry clean because they're a wool blend fabric but I've gotten away with machine washing them on delicate and tumble-drying them at low heat until just barely damp then hanging them up. My oldest pair finally had a seam open up after 3 years, which seemed like a reasonable durability lifespan especially considering I didn't dry clean them.
