I'm exactly the same way, and that Telex is an absolute torture device for me. I had to use it for a few weeks when my personal headset was in for repair, and it was worse than I remembered.

I use a Clarity Aloft and really like it. Super lightweight, no sweaty ears on hot days, and the hair stays perfect.

Guys who use the Telex tend to leave the mic hot all the time, because the acoustics are so terrible they can't tell the difference. Do yourself a favor and get anything else!
