AR could have agreed to this, who cares if it "conditions the company to think throwing money at us" will fix the problems. how is this a proposal for the more senior pilots?? tell the company to pound sand for first year pay, first years can still pick up OT right?
let the people choose, if pilots don't want to pick up OT then they can choose not to. I know we are years away from a contract which is why some extra money in the meantime would have been nice. it would have benefited the vast majority of the pilot group with the 2x premium pay. if we were in mediation or close to getting a contract done then i would completely agree with the sentiment that the company is just trying to throw money at us so we accept a bad deal, but we are nowhere close to a new contract so don't tell me this will help our leverage blah blah blah...
let me choose if i want to pickup and make more $$$ its completely voluntary and no concessions...
