Random question, but figured this might be the best thread to get it answered (trying to plan ahead). Historically, what's the Holiday Indoc schedule look like? I.e. is mid Dec the last Indoc class to start, so everyone is complete by Christmas before starting up again the first week of Jan, or does Delta keep classing people up straight through? And are sims running every day through the Holidays or do they take certain days/weeks off? Thanks in advance!
Random answer… traditionally, the company has skipped a class in late December to create a bolter hole in the pattern over Christmas and New Year’s Day for indoc.
The simulator schedule, on the other hand, runs almost non stop. They might shut down on Christmas Day and maybe new year’s, but that’s about it. The shut down period has gotten shorter each of the last few years. I had a sim on thanksgiving day this past year.
Right now, hiring is only limited by training capacity. There are some variations on the fleets, but essentially it boils down to that.
