Those pants are indeed sold in the Dillards "dress pants" section / suits section so they are designed to have a more professional appearance than say a pair of black or blue Dockers.

Not one Chief Pilot, CEO, or more importantly, a passenger, has asked me about it or given two craps. Not one Captain, ever, to include LCA's, has even batted an eye.
