I’m just trying to understand the logic behind no and how that helps us. I am as upset as you are because I had higher expectations, but I am also pragmatic and trying to make a financial decision and not an emotional one.
Congrats on having the most cited post! You belong in academia. WRT the potentially massive recession you have a point. Let's not forget that there is also a potentially massive world war looming with China and yet another pandemic right around the corner. And recently the SCOTUS just potentially gave everyone a gun and potentially banned abortion in all states too, and in Pride month no less. The potential for civil unrest is high. The potential for balkanization is larger than it's ever been. Already the pilots in Florida have aligned themselves with Ron DeSantis on Facebook to enter your bedroom and abuse your kids and control every aspect of your life. Why on why would any vote this down in light of these potentials? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Don't cut your nose to spite your face. I've seen princes walk and slaves ride horses. Remember that when you're choosing your hill to die on.
