Has nothing to do with day trips. The stated purpose for switching to day trips was to make it easier to use reserves when things go wrong. They haven't even had a chance to try it out yet since they aren't needing to call reserves any more than usual.

The real reason we haven't canceled anything is because they cut our scheduled flying in half which added a crap ton of slack into the schedule. If they hadnt done that we would have melted down just as hard as every other year by now, regardless of trip length.
