No, he couldn’t, because trying to think one up probably would’ve just highlighted that he doesn’t keep up with changes to procedures. “These new hires don’t even know to turn on the lights when we start taxiing”. Instead he finds something that he thinks is silly and probably doesn’t even bother to ask what they’re doing or offer some training. There’s no telling what he’d say about me since I like to bring up various system pages in flight while I’m studying systems. “These damn new hires are randomly looking at the bleed page in flight and looking up at switches in the overhead panel like they’re lost”.
