This whole mess has become such a clown show, but I’m in agreement that the best outcome is that this goes to a vote and fails overwhelmingly- I’m hoping for at least 80% no. A narrow defeat would mean they’ll just repackage the same horrible terms with a nominal amount of cash sprinkled on top. I really can’t say what reasoning individual reps had to follow through with the vote, but I think the AA deal & the pause in communications is going to lose them a lot of votes. I also think they’ve had the wind taken out of their sails by all of this & the resuming road shows will probably be increasingly underwhelming- I think they’ll be visibly “on the ropes”. Anyone out there who’s still “on the fence” is going to have a harder time getting to yes. Still, nothing’s a done deal. I’m feeling pretty confident in this thing not passing; less so about it failing by a good enough margin.
