You have got to be kidding me. Maybe 68 is for 68 or higher other is for higher than 68 or getting rid of madetory all together. Like it or not a non pilot ( thank God) will be heading the FAA . Im sure he grew up with his fair share of blatant discrimination. 67/68 is now a done deal and all the ALPA foot stomping won't change that fact. He was put there to FIX it after pilots jacked it up. I wish him well. FAA reauthorization will bump up the age and maybe the airlines can then execute on their growth plans.
