Conversely, if the MEC tells the negotiators that they are willing to wait until the right deal comes down the line and they don’t care how long it takes, then our negotiators are not going to be so quick to agree to some of the Company’s proposals if it doesn’t serve our better interests. This is how it works. Being a person that walks in and bangs your fist against the table and say “take this cram down or we will see you on the picket line” is not going to achieve that goal no matter what either side is willing to take.

Turns out the MEC did fuq all to bring leverage to the NC. 4 years and no mediation. Time to clean house. I don't care if it takes a decade, I don't want these people touching my next contract.
