Over at United right now, many in their ranks are expressing dismay that, after four-plus years of assuming their MEC, NC, and exec’s knew what they were doing, it turns out, as is evidenced by the Tumi TA, that their union leadership clearly didn’t know how to obtain an industry-leading TA for their pilot group.

Maybe UAL ALPA can blame it on their polling data. And maybe their pilot group can feel better about an almost concessionary TA because UAL ALPA may have had polling data suggesting everyone over there would be okay with getting a suitcase instead of improvements to pay, work rules, and retirement.
United ALPA's last membership poll was in 2018 or 19. They were out of touch to say the least.
