When we checked out in May for 3 weeks, yes, our reservations were closed out. We were rebooked a few days before our return. Shorter breaks, like 5-10 days between fixed base and full flight sims, folks are keeping their rooms. Perhaps the classes after me were handled differently. Best to ask your HR point of contact directly and request to keep your room.
