Well, that’s what I thought and told them. The scheduling supervisor informed me the crew resources supervisor said the IVDs had to be moved.
I had a 6 day trip with the last three days as IVD. They took off 3 of the 4 IVD but kept the dropped trip.

I only use a single day IVD to drop the trip, then explain that I want to use 23.I.18
NOT 23.11.f. from my vacation bank to cover the dropped trip. I get pay and credit for the entire trip versus pay 3:30/3:45 per IVD day and no credit. The vacation bank is then debited accordingly and VACB is shown on the schedule. Check your time card for the pay and credit per 23.I.18. The default is 23.11.f. if you don't make the request and ensure they did it correctly.
